Analyzing what you currently have in your existing kitchen versus what you need and want from your new kitchen design is key. Often, it's best to do this yourself before you go to a kitchen planner or kitchen designer, using what works in your kitchen now – and changing what really doesn't. This process will also allow you to get creative, to realize if anything can be reused or recycled. Think about your kitchen, do you want an island in the design? Does a living area need to be incorporated? Even go into what style of sink you might want and how many appliances you need to fit in.
